This evening I wanted to do some crappie fishing at Lake Anza in the Berkeley Hills. I found a small school of them after about 15 minutes by pitching a small white crappie jig. I caught a couple about 8 in that I released. I hooked a realy small one and was reeling it in when there was a big splash in front of me. I was hooked up on something bigger. I lipped the bass got a picture and released it along with its dinner. I didn't measure it but it looked like it was a little over 15 in. After that I caught a real slab crappie over 12 in. I fished from 5:30-6:30.
