Morning session at the pier yielded a mixed bag. Caught and released 4 White Croaker, 3 Short Sandbass, 2 Jacksmelt, 1 Lizardfish, and 1 Thornback Ray. Caught all the fish on cut anchovy using a high/low rig.

Weather was sunny, warm, and no wind.

Good luck fishing!

Side note: Three "mentally challenged " individuals walking up and down the pier. Not unusual, however, very noticeable larger population of these individuals on the beach and pier. Be careful.

Nice variety and good to see someone out fishing. I have a meeting in San Diego the first week in April and thinking of stopping in LA/Orange County for a couple of days. Maybe we can meet up? I would actually like to visit the pier, haven't been there in a couple of years.

I ordered a soft bait to resemble the grunion that are here now. Halibut love grunion. See what happens. I love Belmont but the few folks that seem unstable listen if you tell them to move along. I’ve seen some fishermen hand them a blunt to get away

Good luck! Didn't realize Grunion running. Hope this heats up the fishing!

Do you mean someone on the spectrum or is this a euphemism for d-bags? I ask because one case is out of wishing to not do harm and the other case is from a wish to not be harmed...
