Tough Fishing

Man it is tough fishing in the past couple of weeks, Always something in the mix. But luckily i found some of them today. Bait - Sandcrab, Tackle - Carolina Rig.

I really miss the fishing up there... What's available here in So Cal just doesn't compare to the perch, rockfish, lingcod, cabezon, dungies, etc...

Well, Take a quick trip up here in the Northern Ca Coast next week, because the Dungeness Crab Opener is on Nov. 4(Sat) Everyone are anticipating for the event.

It's #1 on my list once I'm able to move into a 100% remote job and live out of an RV.

With the exception of the dungies the rest can be gotten here plus we have sheephead, bonito, yellow tail, calico and sand bass...i think there are fewer people showing the type of shore rock fishing that is common for NorCal / Bay Area anglers but there are spots here for that. SoCal fishery is one of the best in the country in my opinion

It is indeed a good fishery. Just not the fish I prefer eating. Nothing quite like a nice turquoise fillet of ling-cod!
There seems to be a much higher level of fishing pressure in So Cal as well... at least south of Ventura (which is pretty much my fishing range for a day trip ;P )
