They had a meeting today and it sounds like a lot of the ideas are being discussed as well as a LOT of money. Sounds like there are also a 1001 legal hoops to cross from the various city and state departments. A very complicated process which explains why it is also expensive.

At least they seem to be trying to act in good faith to make the pier a place that appeals to a wide variety of users...
