License Renewal

So I renewed my license a few days ago. I have to say that the new licensing system with the app
and the digital fishing license is a real pleasure. The new arrangement for date to date licenses
rather than the year (ie for 2024 or 2023 etc) is nice, but the fact that I was able to buy a new license
just under a month early and the new license will not be active until the day after my current one
expires...

All done through the app. Great implementation of technology in my opinion!

The app works in favor of the good guy. Go figure.
Seriously, if licensing could be designed to be beneficial to the licensee, it would be a step in the right direction. Sadly, too many view licensing as having no benefit beyond what the law requires.
I live in a state where a three year license can be purchased for a bargain rate. Motivation enough.

I know this has already been addressed, but what if people buying a license got a little something back? Maybe the applicant could be entered into a drawing for merchandise or trips or something else? It just seems like buying a license is a bit one sided, IMHO.
