Daiso jigs

#1
I kept forgetting to make a post asking if daiso stopped selling jigs in other members area. The jigs had disappeared from all the stores in my area for a few months. I went into a new tackle shop and saw they were selling the same $1.75 Daiso jigs for $7 and up. I figured they were the ones who bought up the local stock. Finally I see the stores have them back in stock so that answers my suspicion. Thats a ridiculous markup amd I doubt they will be selling any without dropping those prices way down. I'm one of the rare people at that pier that fishes with jigs usually too.

Hi, that is greedy of that shop to charge and hoard all those Daiso Jigs, I can usually find them out here in Oceanside store and Mira Mesa Daiso store, you have to drive a bit further to find them, good luck!!!!

I doubt informed anglers will buy those marked up jigs for 7 bucks. It's unfortunate but these local tackle stores have to compete against big box stores and online monsters like Amazon. I try to support the small local tackle stores. One of the local tackle stores here in San Diego is closing for business... sad to see.

I just bought a few jigs at our local Daiso store. So they were in stock there a couple weeks ago. Having run a specialty retail store I can understand why the tackle shop did that. The whole supply chain that serves those shops is not modern. It is filled with middle men that make it difficult for them to buy stock at competitive prices so that they can have profit margins high enough to stay in business. If your local tackle shop is a good one that gives good advice, reward them with your loyalty. In the long run if they all go out of business it will be bad for the sport.
