Very steady bite this morning despite windy and cloudy conditions. I was fortunate to catch a variety of fish. Highlights included a surprise catch of a 14 inch Corbina, a 42 inch Shovelnose Guitarfish and a 15 in Butterfly Ray.
Final fish count was:
10 Thornback Rays
3 Round Rays
1 Grey Smoothhound shark
1 Shovelnose Guitarfish
1 Butterfly Ray
1 Halibut
1 Salema
1 Pacific Mackerel
2 Queenfish
1 Corbina
Several Topsmelt
1 Crab ( Maybe a Slender Crab?)
Everything was released except the Corbina, Queenfish and Topsmelt. Last two species used as bait.
Fish caught with anchovy, squid and shrimp. The Corbina surprisingly hit on a sabiki rig tipped with shrimp.
Around the pier some Mackerel, a short White Seabass, Pompano and Yellowfin croaker caught.
Good luck everyone!
