Bay fishing 12/27

Fished the bay for a variety of species, overall day 8+ missed runs(small critters, 1 pulled hook on large ray, 1 legal halibut, 3 batrays(1 huge), 1 butterfly ray, 1 baby leopard
All released except the halibut, went to tacos. Pier fishing has been slow in imperial beach so I have been wandering around looking for places to fish, no bait in the area.
Started fishing at 1:30PM-9:00PM low tide to tide rising

Went back last night, 2 medium rays, 6 small bat rays, 1 shovelnose med size, 1 small halibut
Thanks! ALso an update on imperial beach pier

The weather buoy( yellow one) that was way far away is now infront of the end of the pier.
Commercial lobster traps are all over the place and scattered up/down the pier. Mid section before lifeguard tower there is a pile of 8+ buoys wrapped around the pilings( bad for the future because tension)?
Just a FYI, I willl be avoiding the pier until the buoy ball is gone.
