Ken, it looks about 6 feet (maybe 6.5 to the tip of the tail) and closer to 100#, but still not bad.

Not sure what is worse. The fact that it was killed or the characters taking pictures with the dead shark.

While I'm not a huge fan of shark myself, I've heard many say that seven-gill sharks are one of the better ones for eating. If it was being eaten I can't fault the fisherman.

What I really do not understand are fishermen who specifically target large sharks while intending to catch-and-release or just for bragging rights (but kill their catches anyway). To me this is just bizarre.
