Visiting Fort Bragg

On short notice I'm spending a couple days in Fort Bragg. Not a fishing trip per se, but I may have a spare hour or two. The site is unclear regarding the pier in Noyo Harbor. Is it still open? What's the best bet with limited time if it isn't? Jetty fishing? The beach?

My latest report was that the pier in the harbor is closed. Fishing from the jetty can be excellent.

Some good rock fishing is available at MacKerracher Park, the Mendocino Headlands, Jug Handle Creek (walk out to the coves), and my favorite at Sea Lion Cove in Point Arena.
