Striped Mullet in San Francisco Bay

Got a report of a two-foot long striped mullet caught in San Francisco Bay. It was caught on a spinner and surprised the angler with the way it fought. With its 40 yard runs he at first though he had hooked a salmon and then a large striped bass. But it was mullet and I would say a rare one given that their range is usually only recorded to San Francisco Bay. I don't think I've ever gotten another report of a mullet in the bay.
