Slow fishing at Belmont Pier

I don't know but fishing seems slow right now any one else experiencing this sure mackerel and sardines are still there but I'm not seeing anything else no croakers no shark rays variety is limited ok just ranting thanks Brock

Definitely when I went to the Newport jetty last week is was just mackerel and no bites bottom fishing. Same with Balboa a couple weeks before.

Yes I'm thinking stuck between winter spring still good conditions one day blowing turning water over the next Im not seeing any red tide right now thanks for the reply I've using blood worms market shrimp salted sardines and squid and ghost shrimp so i don't think bait is the problem thanks

Two weeks ago I was at Balboa Pier and it certainly seemed like there may have been a red tide; stained water all the way out to the end, foul smelling sea foam, and very slow fishing.
