Fished the end of the pier from 0500 - 11:00 a.m. Caught a variety of fish to keep things interesting. Thornback rays were steady. Caught eight on anchovy. Also landed a short Halibut, a short Sandbass, a Round ray, a Salema and a Jacksmelt. Caught a few Topsmelt for live bait - no hits.
One fisherman caught and released a short White Seabass. Another fisherman caught a few Queenfish and some Thornbacks.
There was a lot of micro bait in the water. Didn't get any hits on my metal jig.
The majority of fisherman at midpoint of pier to shoreline. I didn't see any fish in their buckets.
