Fished early morning from midpoint of pier. Caught two good sized Sargo and a small Black perch on mussel using a carolina rig. Released the Black perch.
Surprise catch was a Bat ray. Caught the ray on a piece of anchovy using a hi/lo rig and an Eagle Claw size 4 baitholder hook.
Fisherman next to me caught two short Calico bass and one legal size Sand bass. The Sand bass measured 16 inches. All bass caught on anchovy.
