Went to Wharf 2 in Monterey last Tuesday since I needed some sardines and anchovies for bait.
Plus, finally had some free time to enjoy🎣😎
Fished for 15min with the sabiki before switching to my jacksmelt rig with some frozen shrimp. Hooked onto a White Sea perch(?), but couldn’t land him because I had 3lb maxima😔
Talking with the locals, some had caught some halibut and striped bass about a week ago, but everyone was not getting anything that day🤷♂️ Fished for about two hours in total before going for some pizza. Still got some sardines from the fish market on the pier, who had a whole halibut for sale.
