Nothing special off SD piers. More jack smelt than I've ever seen all over with a few smelt in the mix. Need chum to get them interested. Nothing chasing them. A couple weeks ago there were a lot of lizard fish off the IB pier. You tossed out a sabiki, dragged along the bottom and it came back full of them every time.

Oh and the IB pier is a lot more fisherman friendly again. I was boycotting it for about 2ish years. About 2/3rds of the area around the restaurant is open to fishing, the other 1/3rd has outdoor seating. They have new placards attached to the railing with witty sayings relating to fishing, the beach and surfing.

My wife and I drove all the way down to Ventura to visit her dad for a day. I was so close I could smell the ocean.
Like most, it was a matter of priorities. I did go to Tokyo Central and had some great (by my estimation) sushi.
I'm back in Idaho and the temps are already falling. Fortunately, PFIC is accessible and I can always see Ken on YouTube.
