A pipefish caught at the Oceanside Pier last week by "Johnny." Not sure of the species but probably a kelp pipefish (Syngnathus californiensis). Caught (snagged) on a Sabiki with small hooks which is about the only way you would hook one of these. It looks like it would make an interesting species for an aquarium.
