From the East Bay Regional Park District — The Ferry Point Pier Removal Project will begin on Monday, July 29, 2024 with construction expected to last 4-6 weeks. The pier is over 100 years old and has deteriorated beyond repair. Removal is necessary for public and maritime safety. The iconic metal Gantry structure and the concrete fishing pier will not be removed.
