Diamond Classic Kids' Day at Martinez Pier 1/29

Quick message before I forget, and the event is passed.
-This Saturday the 29th, 8am-3pm at Martinez Pier.
Most of the pier is closed off, but there will be a section to fish up to the entrance of the pier (as it is under construction).
Olivia Ortega from Martinez Bait along with 6-pack boats like "Flash-Fishing" will organizing the event.
-There will be the usual meeting at the yacht club near the bait shop afterwards.
Some bait and tackle will be provided for the kids. I believe it is 5-12 years of age this year (I may attach the flyer if I can locate it).
And of course, there is the annual sturgeon "Diamond Classic" catch & release derby on the boats for adults and kids alike that I will be monitoring on VHF channel 68.

No problem. Doug and David Shigematsu are coordinating the pier activity. I plan to be there as well. The target will be striped bass as the main part of the pier is cut off (with only the backside available).
PS- you may want to bring something to sit on like a chair.
