I have used chicken in the past with mixed results.
Squid is too damn expensive.
I can used Herring.....But I need to hit a spawn.......Males are BAIT......and I clean the big females.....give away or preserve the roe and SMOKE THEM
I was wondering though.......Has anybody used BEEF FAT......I just trimmed a LOT of roasts and have 2 big baggies of HARD FAT......Has anybody tried it?
