Barred Surf Perch being sold in Supermarket - 3/29

I was at the Shun Fat Westminster Superstore Thuận Phát today and saw what appeared to be Barred Surf Perch and Spotted Bay Bass being sold. The fish looked frozen for a long time and were labeled "Product of China". Is it legal for a store to be selling these fish? I have never heard of a commercial fishery for surf perch.

With the proper commercial license 🪪, I believe surfperch can be sold. I used to see them sold at Safeway years and years ago.

Barred surfperch can be caught commercially but I do not believe the same is true for spotted bay bass. However, the fish in the picture are not spotted bay bass.

Do they farm BSP in China? Can you farm BSP? Can you catch BSP in China?
