Archives — Now Open

For those who have been requesting the archives —

If you look at the top of the page next to Members you will see "Archives." This link is currently one to PFIC's 2nd Message Board, the one that existed from 2008 to 2018 when the current Message Board replaced it. You can currently look through the threads but Rich Reano (our webmaster) is also working on making the search function available. Once available, it will be much easier to look up a topic.

Rich is also working on making the original Message Board available, the one that existed from 2000 to 2008.

Ken the link you referred to appears to be the older archive. I was able get as far back as Jan of 2002 to May of 2008.

Yeah, baby, great to have the archives available! Can't search yet but you can tinker by altering the "view&viewvid" and "all&row" values. That way I found this old post from nearly 18 years ago. Time flies. Incidentally, the hali I caught was from one of Ken's shiners. He took a picture which made it to the 2nd Edition of Pierfishing In California. Too cool! That Get-Together, The Mud Marlin Derby (original charter member before it became an official event), Xpostman's incredible weekend perch event at Point Reyes, and of course Catalina, became the standard bearers for group fun at PFIC.

Glen, that was a good time. (That Get-Together) Finally having the chance to meet up face to face after a couple of years of back and forth online banter prior to that faithful meet at BP. I'm really glad to see the archives moving to be fully online and functionable.

Yes, I got this wrong, the posts start in 2008 and go backwards. Thus this is the first message board, the one Rich developed. It should go back to the original messages. The second board, 2008-2018 will be up next.
