Yesterday I got another keeper halibut. This is the sixth one since end of January. This one was only 22 inches. She was caught on a Spanish Mackerel. We had lots of Spanish Mackerel yesterday plus our usual smelt. Lots of strikes and small halibut. One big one was caught out farther but he didn't have a net and tried to lift it with the usual results. Can't do that with a big halibut and it was about 10 pounds. We have now convinced him to go buy a net and rope so he is ready next time.

Congratulations Snookie! Having a great year! I would have tried to walk that fish down the pier and land him on the surf.
