Thinking back to a fishing trip I took on the Superfish out of the Loch Lomond Marina in San Rafael on July 20, 1983. It was a "potluck" trip where we would target several different species in San Francisco Bay. The boat's total for 17 people was 15 California halibut, 6 striped bass, 6 salmon, 3 lingcod, 6 sharks and 12 rockfish. I managed to catch an 18-pound halibut and a 7 1/2-pound king salmon (but no one took my picture with the fish). However, I took some pictures of others.
A nice California halibut
Two halibut and a striper
Another striped bass
This rock, south of the Golden Gate, produced salmon, halibut and striped bass
