Had the good fortune to make three trips on different days to San Clemente pier. Each trip caught different species.

June 15 - 2 large Sargo, 1 Black perch and 1 Bat ray with 25" wingspan. Sargo and Black perch caught with mussel on Carolina rig. Bat ray caught with anchovy. (Fished midpier)

June 20th - 1 small Scorpionfish, 1 Garibaldi, 1 Salema, 3 Sandbass ( 1 was 14 inches). Sandbass caught with anchovy, other fish with mussell on a hi/lo rig. (Fished end of and midpier)

June 28th - 1 White Seaperch and several Topsmelt. Smelt used for live bait but no hits. Fish caught with mussel on Sabiki. (Fished midpier)

Every fishing day is a new fishing day! Good luck.

Nice catch!!!! For the life of me I cannot seem to catch these Wily Sargos, what's your best technique for catching them if I may ask?

This is some great fishing here, Fishman Fishman! I am very much impressed by the variety you enticed on your hooks. Never fished at San Clemente yet. Your white seaperch and black croaker made me wanna visit there to test my luck! Thanks for your great report! -FN
