    IMO it looks like a squawfish, or pike minnow. If it is, it is non-native and they like to eat salmon spawn so F&G wants them removed. I catch plenty of these (although much smaller) for bait in Suisun.

    Yeah make sure you wear your PFD if you go fishing out in the Berkeley flats area. After 12 noon it can get pretty hairy! I was drifting popsicles on a 3-way rig. Still no live anchovies at kdock.

    Are the bait (specifically bay anchovies, shad, and topsmelt) coming in plentiful yet? Itching to get back out there but there's no live bait at kdock!

    Halibut limit along Berkeley pier in kayak 5/11

    Went kayak fishing out of Berkeley on Saturday hugging the pier and limited out, 22", 25" and 27". This is only my 3rd time out this year so I am grateful.
