Hi ladies and gentlefishermen, I have just tried this product out over the weekend, and am happy to report that it does work as squid substitute. The best thing about it is no more buying squid and you don't have to refrigerate it, just treat it like a bag of plastic worm 
One, one inch cut up piece can easily lasts 10 fish, as there is a piece of mesh in the middle of the bait for the hook to hold, the outer material once wet has the consistency of bread dough. It does not have offensive smell like Gulp does, and no leaking, this is a great product, just slightly pricey, around $9 and you get 2, 12 inch strip in each bag.
