Stuck atop a bridge...

Friday Rich and I decided we would film a new YouTube video at the Ferry Landing Pier in Coronado Saturday morning. So I head over and drive onto the Coronado bridge at about 8:30. Only problem was that midway across the bridge the traffic stopped and there we remained for the next 90 minutes. I initially thought there had been an accident but apparently it was someone on the bridge threatening to jump from the bridge. The only positive is that it allowed me to exit my car and take some pictures looking down from the bridge. Finally, looking back, I see that the Highway Patrol had told cars to do a you turn and drive off the bridge from the entrance area. Eventually I was able to do the same but then had to drive down to Imperial Beach and make a roughly 45 minute+ drive to the pier in Coronado. By the time we finally began to film we had less than a half hour before we had to leave to go to the OB Pier meeting. I wanted to fish but just didn't have time but luckily we did see one fish caught, a nice 26-inch halibut. An interesting morning but not great being stuck atop a bridge.

Bad weather, now bad bridge luck, preventing you from fishing in SoCal! Hope you get to wet your lines again soon.
