Predictions on Fort Baker Pier

Looking to shoot down and try our luck at Fort Baker this Sat. Any thoughts on how the fishing might be. I am hopeful that the herring or smelt might be around...

I wish I was up there but was wondering myself if the recent rains might mean improved chances for sanddab.

which side of the pier would you suggest fishing for dabs?

The end and the deeper water is usually the best area for the dabs.

Thanks for the info. I will rig up a pole or two for sanddabs. Hopefully we have a decent day of catching. Even looks like both my kids will be going with me, so either way, great family day.

I caught a tiny sand dab while beach grubbing on crissy last Sunday
