It looks like fair advice, but I'd change most places where the author uses "yards" to "feet". Saying that the minimum distance for enough space
between fishers should be half of a football field is a bit much under most circumstances on most beaches... And if someone has 4 poles set up
100' apart on a beach I'm definitely not going to stick to the outside edges of that zone. There is absolutely no reason that one person needs 400
linear feet of beach all to themselves.

I think it's hard to apply general rules. The article is addressing conditions in "... Jersey, North Carolina or Montauk..."
Even here, conditions vary from beach to beach.
