Where is fish? Water is warm but even bait fish avoiding SF area...
No baitfish - no big fish. Sea lions are starving probably... :)

There are fish, just not as many as months before. Also, I am noticing there are only gamefish fish on one tide (incoming) where I am fishing now. Baitfish are harder to come by but if you chum and concentrate closer on rocks, backs of pilings, you can still get enough to fish with. Some are still buying live anchovies at J&P on the wharf and still getting some fish on SF waterfront piers like Muni, 7, 32.
Other than that, some people are baiting squid, throwing long, and going for sharks and rays.

Pacifica pier was relatively dead for my father in-law 2-3 days ago, so yesterday I went opposite direction....
During incoming tide and slack I caught couple undersize 7-gill and leopard sharks, a lot of baby stripers around, 1 keeper leo (about 4 feet), lost oversize dino by the pier (thank you helpers who think they know better how to fish); during outgoing tide bite almost died, but keeper striper and some babies stripers found my hooks.... today trying to recover my back after yesterday 12 hour fun :)))

The fish are not as abundant as the past few months. I'm catching stripers on the incoming on the Peninsula while plugging, but not as much action as I'd like.
