Trinidad Kids Derby — David Shigematsu

I wasn't there but David Shigematsu who recently won the Marin Rod & Gun Club Derby also won the Trinidad Derby. Apparently things were dead for him the first two hours but then he caught some live shinerperch and in the last hour or so caught two lingcod, one that was legal size and one that was smaller. He's becoming quite the angler.

Based on this....looks like I have to bring some chum and a couple of sabiki rigs with sz 12 hooks during my trip

Still waiting for the results. I think Ed did say the numbers were down this year but still a lot of happy kids.
