Stan the Man - Stan was one of the early stars on Pier Fishing In California. He started with little knowledge of fishing, read the reports, met and learned from regulars, and in time became a master himself. He died when fishing from an old wharf in San Francisco (it broke) and PFIC members attended his funeral and buried him with rods and reels.
