I hope you are all fishing and catching non-stop! I'm going to try to hit up Doheny or San Onofre beach this Sunday. Anyone
else have plans?

Which shores? I will likely be surf fishing somewhere in Orange County, Doheny I think with the nice 1-2ft swells.
I'm still contemplating Mission Beach or Pacific Beach. (Never been to Pacific Beach before.)

Or perhaps fishing Mission Bay for the calmer waters if the water conditions are bad. I went for a walk at Torrey Pines last Sunday for the first time. The waves there were brutal. 3-5 waves coming one after the other.

I need to get the skunk off.

All along southern Cali coast looks like great fishing waves both Sat and Sun... I think the biggest surf report I saw called for 2-3 feet

I hope the surf cooperates this weekend. Went to Ren Fair last Sat and was too wiped out to wake up early enough to hit the coast
on Sunday after all.

Gonna check out Half Moon Bay for jetty fishing and clamming this Wednesday. Also gonna check out the piers👍. Checked out Santa Cruz and Capitola but was busy watching the Warriors so the report was pushed back to oblivion.

It has been insanely windy for the past 2-3 weeks now up in bay area coastline. Ever since I got a job I haven't been able to go out early mornings anymore so I've been trying at sunset or night but even then with 10mph+ winds its been very unfishable.

What kind of clams do you get in HMB? I used to fish that area quite a bit but never thought to check for clams. They fill in any of the gaps in the jetty or do you still need to be part mountain goat to get out on the jetty there?

From what I could gather, they have gaper clams, Washington clams, cockles and other varieties. It’s gonna be my first time there, so I’m gonna report the fishing in real time while I’m out there. That way, I don’t forget about writing here and push the report back to a week later.
