The Balboa pier was a magical place to grow up. Snookie and her husband were the most humble, upstanding, and respectable people who seemed to have been at the center of the society on that pier. Everyone always congregated around her and her area to fish chat, hang out, talk, or just relax, Her area where she set up was like the town square back in the day. Snookie knew EVERYBODY! She has had her finger on the pulse of Newport like no one else. She has done a marvelous work that catalogued decades of a bygone era bringing back so many of the names and many of the incredible times on the Balboa pier. Thanks to Snookie the faces, the memories, and the experiences have been saved for others to read about. What magnificent work.
