Inside Bodega Harbor, two of us worked our way through frozen squid, old prickleback carcasses and similar freezer debris for about 5 hours but only caught 2 short red crabs. Lost a single keeper size red crab at the water. We were casting snares.
All around us it was about the same. I don't think anyone pulled up a single Dungeness.
Dangerous seas kept us from some of the more premium spots. Sadly, those seas have claimed several lives off the Sonoma coast since opening day.
