Sharks at a pier

Reminds me of a story about the water filled with dogfish one night at the Pismo Beach Pier.
In the winter Spiny dogfish migrate into the SF Bay in massive group many times and I have noticed that winter is only time I really catch them in the Bay (when many other species have moved out). It is interesting to find that in European waters there is an upper limit of 3’3” to ensure the mature females can sustain the population (that seems to be diminishing from overfishing). There also seems to be allowable catch limits as well.
