Fished a short morning session and caught a few but, mixed bag of fish.

Caught a small Yellowfin croaker and a medium Sargo with mussel on a high/low rig. Kept the Sargo.

Caught a small Sargo, a small Black perch, a Queenfish, several Salema and Topsmelt with a sabiki tipped with various baits - mussel, shrimp and anchovy. Released all the fish except some Smelt for live bait. No hits with the Smelt.

Nice morning on the pier!

Interesting side note. Apparently Game Warden visited the pier on Tuesday, September 10th and issued a $100.00 dollar citation to a fisherman for fishing with three active fishing poles. The fisherman was at the surf zone of the pier. Today, I saw three local pier fisherman who normally fish with four to five active fishing poles, were all each fishing with only two active lines in the water. There was no one fishing in the surf zone this morning.

A daily pier walker provided me with this information. :)
