San Clemente Pier Open For Fishing

Hello Everyone,

FYI. I spoke with Jose Fuentes, Lead Park Ranger, for City of San Clemente. Pier will be open this weekend, October 9/10, for fishing. He also provided telephone number for On Duty Park Ranger (949) 289-3527, to report inappropriate conduct/activity on pier.

Sorry I don't know. Give the Park Ranger a call. He is responsive to inquiries. He mentioned some weekend patrols that's how I learned pier would be open..

I saw a fishing report on another site from yesterday. So I would assume it will be open today and tomorrow

Yes. Pier is open to fishing. Tried for lobsters tonight. Arrived at 4pm. Tide was really low and saw no signs of oil anywhere. Got to the shack to make fresh bait and got a bag of large macks. Ended with one legal and 8 shorts. One net pulled up 5. It was music to my ears hearing them flob. 3 of them looked legal at first glance but heartbreak with all 3 of them couple of mm short.
