Fished pier J platform this morning. First time fishing this location. Fished from platform close to restrooms. Fished between 0600 to 1030 a.m. Caught white croaker, shiner perch, jacksmelt and mackerel. Jacksmelt most plentiful. All fish caught on shrimp, anchovy, squid, sardine and mackerel. Used high/low set up. Used shiner perch as live bait on carolina rig. No takers. No hits on bottom rigs baited with whole anchovy, squid, sardine or mackerel. Bottom baits eaten up by crabs! Had fun! Will return and try other platform.
