Happy New Year everyone!!! I got time to fish from 6 to 9pm new year's eve, so went down to the pier, cold and dreary, strong gust, few people fishing, got my set up with the light and ended the day with 10 squids, other than that nothing else biting. Just a note, got one or two on regular sabiki, nothing on the squid sabiki jig, and the rest on Yo-Zuri Squid Jig Egi Aurie-Q "RS" 2 inch version.

So cool. A belated happy new year as well. Thank you for sharing your interesting post. I have not done pier squid fishing around here. Would love to learn how-to!

Hi, just try it, make sure you have a light source shining light onto the water, I recommend a throwy type of flashlight with at least 500 lumen, I use the Sofirn C8G, and you can use regular Sabiki, Size 8 Hayabusa S-505E with a 1/2 jig on the bottom, good luck!!
