-Halibut are finally starting to act normal with the normalcy in the weather lately. Finally, the late spring is coming alive and fish are where they are supposed to be. Hooked two today in San Pablo Bay after work starting 4pm and ending at 8.
-Baitfish are more abundant in the bay and more are moving through with shiners, smelt, and American shad available. Used a three-way on one and a bead-rig (similar to the packaged halibut rigs) on the other. Owner 4’s and an ounce or two of lead.
-Caught these two that taped out at 24 and 22.5 on the GDude rod with 30# braid and 25# leader. Two other guys I know caught a fish a piece.
I didn’t really check the tides but I charted my hours so you can investigate them if tides are your game. But all I can say is that the tides on Easter were terrible. 1A97F3CF-D8D8-4CFE-9B49-092FFCCF8DCA.jpeg
