Morning session at Seal Beach with weather challenges. Cold, foggy, water temperature 56°, and patches of red tide.
Despite conditions I managed to catch three Thornback Rays (released), a 15 inch Sandbass (released), a 11 inch Scorpionfish (kept) and a 12 inch Kelp rockfish (kept). Handful of Topsmelt too.
The Sandbass and Kelp rockfish caught with live Topsmelt on a fish finder rig. The Scorpionfish caught with anchovy on a fish finder rig. Thornbacks caught with squid. And a handful of Topsmelt with sabiki.
Thanks to Ken and HookedUp for ID of Kelp Rockfish.
Good luck everyone!
