in the past few weeks it seems mcnears pier has been going off. multiple old slot sturgeon and stripers ranging from 19 to 33 inches being caught in one day. anybody actually get in on the action ?

Caught out to mcnears today. Got four leopard sharks and two big skates Saw a sturgeon jump and also a roll. I think I was getting hit by some sturgeon and small stripers throughout the whole trip, but whenever I went to set the hook could not get them. Probably going to use a shorter lead next time. Redfish told me that his buddy got a 40 something incher there a few days ago so I'm going to head back out on New Year's Eve and try to get on one. Do you guys think salmon meat would be a productive bait to use. I know it's illegal to use in the Delta, but I've seen people fishing for sharks with it in the bay and I figured sturgeon would love it.
