Oh, to be a kid! All of those prizes are a great way to get kids hooked on fishing. Reminds me of the ads I used to see on the back pages of my comic books.

Great video Rich and Ken. Mel was accurate on the sizes of sturgeon most on the Bay Area piers, top end about 70." The oversized ones are difficult to land on piers. I had one I surfaced on his back @ 6.6 . Same place I saw one at 7.6 that had a lot girth. Who knows when the moratorium will be lifted, if any time in the future? Good video overall, as it was the length to be put into a 30 minute show. 15 minutes would have been better for You Tube, especially without much action of folks actually catching fish.

Funny story about those ads you used to see in the back of dime-store novels and comic books...

When I was a kid I used a few ads for sea-monkeys that were selling them for I think $0.10. I
actually received some sea monkeys.

I think that some of the ads to buy more books were honored as well as I seem to remember
having 20 or 30 pulp sci-fi novels from sending in 20 year old ads as well. I really wish I had
kept them now but I think they all wound up at a 2nd hand bookstore during one of my moves
(the books not the sea monkeys :).

I once had a large collection of science fiction books but when we moved from Lodi to Fresno I had to pare down my library. The science fiction books were sold to a used book store and I've regretted it ever since.
