OK Folks.....Finally got around to working on some more Micro Jigs and I am refurbishing a few KastMasters and a Little Cleo Spoon.......I have the black epoxy based coat on the micro jigs and should be able to start pimping them out later tonight.......Pics to follow........I even re-visited the whole "hammered out inline sinker" thing and I am getting the process down....What can I say?.......I am a STUBBORN MF.........Once these jigs are done i am going to show you my favorite recipe for home made blade baits.......some with willow leaf spinners...

UPDATE.........Got the Clear Coat on my first little batch of micro jigs......I call this type "Glitter Bombs" you will see why......They look a little silly but they will fish.......This type is best for vertical jigging or short casts in relatively clear water........Thus the glitter......It catches and reflects light........Those that remember the OLD SCHOOL Salmon Trolling days......Will remember the COHO FLASHER Lures......They looked like a grade school kids art project....BUT BOY DID THEY WORK.....

New Jig Prototypes from Either Folded Sheet Lead or Hammered Inline Sinkers.....

Folded Sheet Lead

2 Hammered 3/4oz weights and one from folded sheet lead......

Needless to say these damn things are hard to photograph. Single hooks since I am mostly catch and release for spawning perch.....

Product testing this weekend if I get a chance.....Except for split rings and hooks......100% locally resourced recycled materials and pretty easy to make.....Standard Hobby Grade Glitters are a bit large for this application but they are damn cheap......Micro Glitters would be better.....But harder to find and more expensive.

I really need to get my airbrush fixed.

Got a few more Jigs and Casting Spoons Ready for Clear Coat.......The Hammered Out In-Line Sinkers work well as casting spoons or for Jigging....I was able to do a some product testing Last Saturday.....Glitters Flash VERY well in clear or stained water and that is what I was going for.......Hope to get my airbrush set up soon so I can end up with a little more professional looking results but my best paints are toast and replacing them is going to be PRICEY......YIKES

Got a few 1/2oz In Line Sinkers Hammered out and given a black Appliance Epoxy Spray Paint Base Coat........Have some others that I added eyes to and given an epoxy clear coat......Soon I will be making HARD Metal spoons, Blade Baits, and jigs out of Cheap Stainless Steel Knives and Spoons from WalMart......Just need to warm up the Angle Grinder........Also plan to pimp out some KastMaster and Hopkins Style Spoons once the order comes in......

Sooooo....I have an order of Hopkins Style Casting Jigs coming along with proper Paint Pens, Holographic Foils, and Lure Eyes......Some upcoming pics of pimped out casting spoons soon to come......Have to wait for a couple more OT checks to arrive before I get my KastMaster blanks.......Anybody know where I can get Crocodile Spoon Blanks that are IN STOCK?????

Also.......As long as the rain holds...>HEY...I am getting old....Fishing in the rain does not really appeal anymore.....I will be breaking out my hacksaw and starting on some blade baits and spoons from cheap WalMart Silverware

I use to love surf fishing in the rain. Don't get out as much now.

I know I've seen Kroc blanks around but can't place it. You ever check out lurepartsonline.com? They got blanks that look like th Cabela's jig n spoon.

Sorry, I know I'm a bad influence. Lol

Sooooo........I got some of the CHEAP Hopkins Style Jigs From Fish WOW! on Amazon in 1oz and 1/2oz sizes.....They will do the job but the hooks in my opinion are too big for the size lure and the split rings while usable are really not the best and I will likely replace both when I have the time. These are Chrome Plated Brass Lures and the plating is pretty dull and would not buff shiny even with jewelers rouge so I have been pimping them out a but with paints and glitter. I have also made more micro jigs from hammered out in-line sinkers.......Pics to follow

I will get and pimp out some KastMasters when I have the cash to order them

I got some of those same "megabait looking" lures from fishing shows over the years. I got them at a buck each at the shows. I like em. They actually have good action. There are three colors that I dont have though. Being as frugal as I am, I don't want to pay the extra buck for each lure, if I get a set of 5 of each lure I dont have.

BTW Do you know where to get them skinny type spoons that are thinner than krocs? I got a couple from the Fred Hall Show a few years ago but havent able to find any more since.
