Tons of birds on the water, will have to look them up by name later. Smelt action was on, 4-6 inch smelt on sabiki rig, small smelt all over moving, shiner perch,walleye being caught by the gate. I made a caltip(call instead) of over limits but none came. Later I hooked into a thresher, decent fight let it run to tire it out while I tried to work out tangles. Buddy Cory helped me out a lot with the gaff.
Later, a game warden showed up, very very quick around the corner and announced her presence not a guy but lady warden. Very very nice talkative and was just curious on what we were doing and catching checking us out. She said that CalTIP app does not go straight to them jt goes to an office and they dispatch but takes longer. She said to call the hotline instead.
let us on our merry way. Meat was split between maybe 8 people?
