Huntington Beach Pier 12/12

I came home from school for winter break; naturally, one of the first things I did was do some pier fishing.

I got to the pier at 6 am and set up on the north side at the bait shop. I fished a sabiki with a float and cut mackerel for a steady jacksmelt bite until around 7:30. After then, the jacksmelt stopped biting, but scattered schools of small sardines showed up. At 8, I moved at the very end and fished cut sardines for a couple mackerel. There were some thick bait balls close to the pilings, which turned out to be mostly anchovies. I left at 9 am.
