Hit Bolinas Lagoon for the first time in MANY years in hopes of a leopard shark, but I ended up disappointed on that score. Weather was optimal, the local harbor seal colony entertaining, the area brought back a lot of old memories.......Not all of them good ones..........Bait was Wet Brined Herring from my trip cast-netting herring with Redfish Last Year........Primary rig was a 10' Okuma Rockaway Surf Rod Paired with an Okuma Alaris 40 spooled with 30# Braid. The Secondary Rig was a 14' Tica Salmon/Steelhead Rod paired with a Daiwa Sweepfire 4000 Line-Feeder Reel spooled with 15# mono. Standard Fish Finder rig, 50# Mono Leader, 6/0 circle hooks I think.

Tried long casts, Tried short casts.........NOT EVEN A NIBBLE. Perhaps because of the bait, or the lackluster tide.

Back again to the same place tomorrow with friends.

Hit Bolinas Lagoon again today with a friend........And it was a skunk for us bot......2 small leopards and a small bat ray landed while we were there and that was it.........Crabs were and issue and there was a massive amount of Sea Lettuce on our lines..........WEATHER WAS PERFECT THOUGH

All I have to show for the effort is a sore neck/.shoulder and a SUNBURN......well after this I should not have such an obvious "Mask Tan" anymore.
