Has anyone tried the various chowder recipes?

The originakl recipe is very rich and somewhat expensive. I think you can cut some of the ingredients back as detailed.

I'd like to say I did more than I did, but all I did was opened cans and watched Godzilla on YouTube with my grandson while Lisa did all the heavy lifting.
It's simmering in the Dutch oven and it's filling the house with a wonderful, smoky aroma.
Lisa said it was easy to put together and the only ingredients she varied was using smoked gouda, and slight variations on the veggies. It's simmering on the stove top. She's adding a light roux to make the broth a little thicker.
I think we have one of the most fragrant kitchens in Idaho.
Lisa says, "Thanks, Ken!"
I sent my son, Alek the recipe and he's also making it tonight.
Thank-you, Ken for the recipe. It's a keeper.
